How to retouch a photo

 This is the finished picture.

 Start with this picture.

1. Put the picture on a layer as the background and make a copy of that layer

 2. Go to filter-blur-surface blur. Make the radius 15 pixels and the threshold 10 pixels.

3. Make a layer mask. Pick a soft brush and use it on the eyes.Make sure that the foreground is black before you brush the picture. Name the background copy "eye brightening".

The picture should now look like this.

4. Make a comp layer and name it dust and scratches

5. Go to Filter-Noise-Dust and Scratches

6. Under Dust and Scratches make the radius 5 pixels and the threshold 19 pixels

7. Add a layer mask. Make sure that the foreground is black in the layer mask. Pick a soft brush and go over the eyes and teeth with it.

The picture is now done and should look like this.
